Review: I love me some glowing skin and highlighters are my jam. If you have been following me on my Instagram for a while (@happyhr247) there was a time where I owned over 60 highlighters. I slowly started my makeup declutter around the end of 2017 and did a cut-throat and massive one before I moved in June. Long story short, my highlighters are down to maybe 15 to 17. As I started to replace the ones I gotten rid off, I decided to invest in luxury ones. Enter Chanel. This is my first highlighting powder from this brand. Unlike their blushes, this compact actually has a full size highlighter instead of sharing a space with a non-useful brush or sponge. The brush sits on top of the product with a barrier when you open the compact. Like most Chanel powders such as their blushes, it does have a slight perfume-y smell. Nothing too crazy because I am sensitive to scents.
The box packaging is the typical glossy Chanel box with white typography and gold trim. The compact is made of a sturdy black plastic. The word "Chanel" is beautifully embossed one top of the powder. The shade I picked out is in Warm Gold. It is a beautiful shade. The powder is nice and it does provide a good amount of glow on the skin. You can sheer it out or intensify it as much as you'd like. Would I recommend this product? I like the powder but for its price, I'd have to say no. I own two of the DiorSkin Luminzing Powder and the formula is a beautiful gelee. I would recommend getting that if you want to get your money's worth. But if you just want to try out this Chanel powder, go for it but it isn't my favorite formula.
